How To Become A Christian

We are a Spiritual Family. The foundation of our relationship with each other is  JESUS.

Salvation

Christianity is first and foremost about relationships rather than rules.  It is about a person more than a philosophy.  It is about the most important relationship of all—our relationship with Christ. Relationships are exciting! They are the most important aspects of our lives.

Why Do I Need Salvation?

1.  Man is Sinful.  You and I were created to live in a relationship with God.  However, sin separates us from God and it always leaves us with something missing in our lives.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

2.  The wages of sin is Death.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.  Romans 6:23

3.   Jesus paid for our Sins.
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.  Romans 5:8

4.  Jesus is the way, the truth, and the  Life.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
John 14:6

5.  We must confess Him as Lord and  Savior.
If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10

How to start a relationship with God

1.  Admit  you don’t have a relationship with God and understand that your sin is what separates you from God.
Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38

2.  Believe in the finished work of the cross. Know that Jesus took the first step to restore the relationship by showing justice and being punished for sin and then showing love by extending to us forgiveness.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

3.  Confess  your faith in what God has done through Jesus Christ.  The starting place for any relationship has to be honesty.
If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  Romans 10:9-10
