What To Expect
We offer in-person and online worship services on Sundays at have small groups throughout the week. (Click Here For Current Service Times) A typical service will last about 50 minutes. Come a little early and stop by the Wildwood Cafe for a cup of Joe, breakfast, and conversation. There you'll find friendly faces with the desire to make you feel welcome and to answer any questions you might have about our church. They can help you get your bearings and get your children checked into the right class. You will find that Wildwood is a multi-generational church. You will see children, teenagers and adults of all ages at our church.
What should you wear to Wildwood Church of God? Whatever you are most comfortable in. We want you to come just as you are. On most Sundays, you will find the worship team and regular attendees of Wildwood wearing casual clothes. We're more concerned with the inside than with the outside.
Childcare is an extremely important part of our ministry at Wildwood. We are continually striving to improve our quality of care to newborns, toddlers, and preschoolers. When you come with your child, one of our friendly greeters will help you find the nursery. Our volunteer at the nursery information desk will be sure you know our security procedures and will help you check-in your child.
So, come see for yourself. We have a seat waiting for you and we know you will enjoy it! We don't call out guests during our services and ask them to stand and we promise not to embarass you in any way. Come ready to connect by allowing us to take care of you and your family. We want to add you to our growing family of friends and we're looking forward to your visit. We meet every Sunday morning. We have Life Groups that meet throughout the week in various homes and other locations.
What Should I Expect On Sundays?
Your children are welcome to sit with you in the worship center or go to services planned especially for them on Main Street located just behind the worship center and accessible through either of the doors nearest the left or right of the stage.
At Wildwood Church of God, we understand worship to be a lifestyle—one that encompasses more than just something you do on Sundays. Our worship celebration consists of fellowship, singing, prayer and anointing, giving of our offerings, the teaching of God's Word, and a time of commitment. Often we will use other methods of worship arts such as drama, videos, special music, etc. in our services.
Baptism - You may witness a baptism today. This immersion in water represents the death and burial of our old way of life and marks the beginning of a new life committed to following Jesus Christ.
Anointing - We believe in the power of prayer! Scripture tells us that if anyone is sick, to call the Elders of the church to pray over and anoint them with oil. The Worship Leader will most always invite those seeking prayer and anointing to come forward at a specific time during worship. If you have a need in your life or simply want prayer on behalf of someone else, we invite you to join others as they come forward during this part of the service.
Communion - At Wildwood, we take communion at various times throughout the year. Communion is the time in which we reflect upon what Christ has done for us through his life, death, burial and resurrection. If you are a Follower of Christ, we invite you to join us in this celebration.
Offering - We believe that the offering is a key component to worship. It is the opportunity to give back to God as He has blessed us. The monies you give support the outreach of Wildwood Church of God. Secure Offering Drop Boxes are located at every entrance to the Worship Center as well as near the Church Office, Breezeway and Cafe. Many of our folks give online through our Church App or with our Text-2-Give option. Simply text any amount to 84321 to get started.
Commitment Time - At the end of each service we extend the opportunity for people to make a decision to Follow Christ. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to talk with someone, ask questions and to pray. As the congregation is dismissed, we encourage you to come forward and talk with any of the pastors or prayer warriors near the stage. We are waiting to pray with you or answer any questions you may have about Wildwood Church of God.
